Will my insurance cover a virtual doctor?

Many states now lawfully require insurance companies to provide equal coverage for virtual and regular visits. Rainey Day Doc does not accept insurance and offers only fee per visit or subscription based services. We can provide you a receipt and necessary documentation for HSA/FSA account usage.

How does it work?

It’s too simple for words. If you are doing an urgent care vitual visit, simply answer a few quick questions about your condition, then click: Start Visit. Voila! If you are self scheduling, simply fill out the contact form and someone from our Care Team will contact you to confirm your appointment. Once you accept the appointment request, you and your doctor will be connected via a 2-way video that can be displayed on your computer or mobile device. Chat with your doctor, ask your questions and receive any necessary prescriptions at your preferred pharmacy.

What is the Vsee?

Vsee is your simple, secure connection to your doctor. It's a HIPPA compliant two-way video conferencing system that allows Rainey Day Doc to give you quick and convenient treatment. You don’t even have to brush your teeth.

Tech is not my thing – do I need to be savvy to use Vsee or the patient portal?

When creating your account, you’ll be asked to give your credit card details, from which we’ll deduct a flat rate fee of $75 following every urgent care visit unless you have a monthly subscription. Of course, we only charge if we can treat and advise.

Can my doctor prescribe medication via this virtual appoint?

Absolutely. If your healthcare provider needs to, she/he can send an electronic prescription to your preferred pharmacy for convenient pick-up. Thanks to our growing pharmacy partnerships, you may also have the option to have your prescription delivered or overnighted to your home. Just like Santa.

Does an Rainey Day Doc require special equipment?

To have a virtual appointment, you’ll need a few virtual appointment-enabling items. Just the basics though, promise! - Computer/mobile device (tablet or smartphone)
- Webcam (often built in these days)
- Microphone (also, often built in) Depending if you are using a computer or mobile device, you will need to make sure you have a reliable internet connection. But don't worry, we will provide you with all of the details before your close up.

Wait, but what about a physical exam?

Good point. Truth is, many medical conditions can be diagnosed and treated without the need for an exam. Although, telemedicine is a great alternative to sitting in traffic and waiting at your local doctor's office, it doesn't replace the need for an in-person visits to treat special medical concerns. Don't worry, If we can't treat or advise you, you won't be charged for the visit. * Subscription based users are offered an annual in-person physical included in their membership. ** In some cities, RDD affiliated providers offer pop up clinics and in-home visits.
