Why telemedicine?

Will my insurance cover a virtual doctor?

Many states now lawfully require insurance companies to provide equal coverage for virtual and regular visits.

How does it work?

It’s too simple for words. Simply create an eVisit account, answer a few quick questions about your condition, then click: REQUEST EVISIT. Voila! You’ll be contacted by your doctor to confirm your appointment. Once you accept the appointment request, you and your doctor will be connected via a 2-way video that can be displayed on your computer or mobile device. Chat with your doctor, ask your questions and receive any necessary prescriptions at your preferred pharmacy.

What is the eVisit App?

The eVisit app is your simple, high-res, secure connection to your doctor. Two-way video conferencing means quick, convenient treatment. You don’t even have to brush your teeth.

Tech is not my thing – do I need to be savvy to use eVisit?

Gosh, no! The eVisit app was designed for everyone to use easily. Think, the convenience of Skype plus few more goodies.

Is my sensitive information protected?

You bet it is. Our app is 100% Hippa compliant, which means your personal medical details will always be kept completely safe.

What’s the deal with payments?

When creating your eVisit account, you’ll be asked to give your credit card details, from which we’ll deduct a flat rate fee of $75 following every visit. Of course, we only charge if we can treat/advise.

Can my doctor prescribe medication via this virtual appoint?

Absolutely. If your healthcare provider needs to, she/he can send an electronic prescription to your preferred pharmacy for convenient pick-up.  Thanks to our growing pharmacy partnerships, you may also have the option to have your prescription overnighted to your home. Just like Santa.

Does an eVisit require special equipment?

To have a virtual appointment, you’ll need a few virtual appointment-enabling items. Just the basics though, promise!

  • Computer/mobile device (tablet or smartphone)
  • Webcam (often built in these days)
  • Microphone (also, often built in)
Wait, but what about a physical exam?

Good point. Truth is, many medical conditions can be diagnosed and treated without the need for an exam.
